What did you do last night?

Laughed at my picture on the website, boy did I think I looked good then!!

What do you usually eat for breakfast?

Coffee.

How many hours a night do you sleep?

7.

What is your favorite hour of the day/night and why is it your favorite?

Morning, because I work the best that time of day, that's when I have the most energy

Where do you live now?

Still in Bakersfield.

Why did you move there?

Was born in Bakersfield, didn't have a choice :)

Do you like living there?

Yes.

What did you do in the years right after high school?

Worked a few meaningless jobs, got married, (the first time) at age 21.

Tell us about your family? Kids? Spouses? Lovers? Partners? Divorces?

I have two children, (had 3, but my middle son died at the age of 13 months), so now I have a 15 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. I am divorced from their father, but we are still great friends. I am remarried now, we will be celebrating our first anniversary August 13th of this year. He's a wonderful husband and a wonderful step-father to my children.

Do you have a job outside of your home?

Yes, I work for PG&E. I have been here for almost 11 years. I started out as a meter reader, (yes, I was the one running through your yards, peeping over your fence, and being chased by your dog). I now have an office job, which I really enjoy, and great co-workers.

Do you like your job?

Yes, it pays well and pays the bills.

Is it the job you thought you would have when you were back in High School and you contemplated the future?

No, right after high school I went to court reporting school, I actually finished the class and got my certificate, but never could master the state test to get my license. I eventually ended up getting married and pregnant, and, sadly, never went back.

What was your happiest day last year?

August 13th, when I married my husband!

What is your biggest regret from the last 20 years?

That I didn't get a college education that would really benefit me now.

Do you miss high school? What things do you miss about it?

Not one bit.

What is one of your favorite memories from high school?

Cheering sophomore year with all my frosh-soph squad friends, and being Homecoming Queen senior year.

What is one of your worst memories from high school?

All the personal issued I had at home.

Who were your best friends in high school?

Let's see: Sophie Valles, Kim Wood, Renee Mendez, Stephanie Telles

Have you kept in touch with them?

Sophia and I send Christmas and Birthday cards to each other.

How is your life different than the life you thought you would have after high school?

After high school I thought I would have some fabulous court career, making all kinds of money, yada yada yada. I guess that wasn't the life God had intended for me. I feel that where I am now in life, is where God wants me. I have no complaints, life is great, my family is great and God is the #1 person in our lives.

Who was your favorite teacher?

Do I have to pick just one? I really liked Mrs. Kindel (she nominated me for Homecoming Queen), Mr. Slagle because "current events" were always fun, and Mr. Brackley because you could cut his class and he never asked for an excuse, even when you had one, he wouldn't even look at it, he'd just ball it up and throw it away.

What was the biggest life lesson you learned in high school?

It's a lesson I didn't learn until later on in life, but I learned to always be true to yourself and your friends, to love your family, and to learn how to forgive. Life is sweet, but also short.

Who was your favorite pop music band in high school?

Never really had one then, and still don't have one now.

Why do you want to attend a high school reunion?

To reminesce with old friends.

Why do you NOT want to attend a high school reunion?

I have no reason not to attend, it will be fun!

Are you nervous about attending your high school reunion? Explain.

A little bit! Feels like starting the 1st day of freshman year all over again.

Do you like answering these questions?

Not really, because you are forcing me to talk about myself. But I love reading about other people and their lives since 1986.

Do you have any tattoos? What are they?

Yes, one on my lower back and one on my foot. I'm not sure what the one on my back is now, some sort of flower, (looked good at the time), but the one on my foot is a dove and a heart with the name Troy (for my son who died, not because I was a Trojan)

What is your favorite food?

Mexican, Chinese & anything my mother-in-law makes.

Are your parents still alive? How are they doing?

Yes, both are still alive and doing well.

Are you happy with the way you look these days? Please explain.

Yes, but I would be happier if I was about 20 pounds lighter and 2 inches taller!

If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?

Retire and travel.

Are you religious? Spiritual? Agnostic? Is there a God?

God is #1 in my life and yes he is real!!! All the blessings in my life are because of God.

What do you watch on TV?

Hmm let's see: CSI Las Vegas, 2 1/2 Men, Criminal Minds, Law and Order SVU, Entourage and the Soprano's.

What are your all-time favorite movies?

The Thornbirds, To Kill a Mockingbird (the movie and the book) and Tombstone, ( Doc Holliday)

In what ways have you changed the most from high school?

Aside from the funky hairdo, thick eyeliner under the eyes, and being much thinner, I would have to say that I have probably become a nicer, more compassionate person.

Tell us about three of your happiest experiences since leaving high school.

Steven - 15, Troy (13 months) and Angelica 8. These are the 3 happiest experiences since high school.

What do you like most about yourself?

My fun, happy, take-life-as-it-comes-attitude.

What would you most like to change?

Nothing.

Do you talk on your cellphone while driving?

Sometimes, yes.

What would you like to happen at the reunion? What would leave you satisfied? What do you NOT want to happen at the reunion?

I would just like to see everyone have a good time, (spouses included . . . ask me what happened at the 10 year with my ex). No judging, no bragging, no drunks (just tipsies). I would leave satisfied just knowing that everyone has had a good time. I don't want to see anyone get "falling down" drunk or table dancing! :)

Did you enjoy answering these questions?

They weren't bad.

Tell us something interesting about yourself that wasn't covered in the above questions.

If I didn't answer a question, it's because I couldn't think of an answer.
